YouTube TV is now accessible at $49.99 per month in every US TV market. Google today announced that later this year, PBS and PBS Kids will be joining the cord cutting service.
More than 70 channels, including the large four broadcast networks and multiple cable products, are presently included with YouTube TV. Nine other channels can be bought independently, including sport passes. The two additions that follow assistance address the lack of government choices for the Google service beyond local broadcast networks.
PBS is already diligent in providing its content online, but YouTube TV integration offers a reduced obstacle to begin viewing and recording.
Meanwhile, Discovery and National Geographic are serving as excellent options. In addition to Cartoon Network and Disney (Channel, XD, Junior), PBS Kids— with favourites like Arthur and Sesame Street — assist. The official YouTube TV Twitter account only notes that “later this year” will come the PBS network.
The last major network addition with Discovery in April coincided with the $10 price hike announcement. That included 10 channels like Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, and MotorTrend.
We are excited to announce that a new network will be coming to the YouTube TV lineup later this year: @PBS and @PBSKIDS. Welcome to the family! 👏👏👏 pic.twitter.com/AaatKyl0tU
