Due to its value and performance, the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 4 G has been one of our favourite smartwatches since its debut last month. Now, Verizon LTE finally activates a key feature of the TicWatch Pro4G.
Its cellular connectivity is a key feature of the TicWatch Pro 4 G, but this link only operates with Verizon Wireless. Unfortunately, because of a carrier issue, that connectivity was not accessible at the launch. Verizon will accept activations for the new TicWatch beginning on August 8th about a month after the release.
The watch will need to be enabled via the My Verizon app or website to get a TicWatch Pro 4 G activated on the Big Red. You want to activate on a new line from there, pick a smartwatch, enter the IMEI, enter the SIM ID, then select a monthly plan. Verizon’s wearable plans begin at $10 a month, and there will also be an activation fee on top of that.
I’ve been running my Verizon Wireless TicWatch Pro 4 G for about a week when you’re reading this, and I’ve been happy with the connectivity so far. Strangely enough, the battery life also seems barely affected by the connection when Bluetooth and WiFi are turned off as well. I’ll have more to discuss with this later this week in our full review of the TicWatch Pro4G.
As a side note, there are only 2 days left at the time of publishing to get the TicWatch Pro 4 G at its $279 discounted cost.
