With the new Drive Priority page, Google has implemented workspaces that can be used to provide fast file access without changing the place underlying it. Google Drive is now testing the capacity as part of a new beta to generate shortcuts.
Google Drive shortcuts operate in the same way as other file systems. They are particularly focused on shared drives— earlier Team Drives— and assist cut down on creating copies that are not synchronized.
Everyone who has access to the folder or drive will be able to see them while establishing a shortcut has no effect on sharing access.
When you right-click a document, “Add shortcut to Drive” becomes a new choice. Place and generate an inline file picker. It replaces the current option “Add to My Drive” with all file shortcuts denoted with an arrow icon.
It is possible to create Google Drive shortcuts for Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Sheets as well as folders. Types of third-party files are JPGs, PDFs, and Microsoft Office.
Google will now take beta sign-ups and start accepting domains in the coming weeks.”
