The second Stadia Connect in August focused completely on games saved for one tidbit from Google that Founder’s Edition was “almost sold out.” That’s now happening in “most of Europe” and it’s Stadia Premiere Edition in its location.
In a Chromecast Ultra and the Stadia Controller, Stadia Premiere Edition still bundles. However, instead of the limited-edition Midnight Blue variant, it is the Clearly White Made by Google Wi-Fi controller. This color displays a white body under the thumbsticks with black buttons and orange accents.
Stadia Pro is included for three months, but it is not evident whether this implies day one access to the service such as Founder’s Edition. But the name implies previous access. What’s missing is the Buddy Pass allowing a friend to try Stadia, the Founder’s badge on your profile, and being one of the first people to reserve a Stadia Name.
Like Founder’s Edition, pricing in European countries still amounts to € 129. Google Store’s quick check shows that Stadia Premiere Edition is now available in France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Belgium, Ireland, and the Netherlands. The United Kingdom, along with the major U.S. and Canada markets, still provides Founder’s Edition.
This November, the game streaming service will be launched in 14 nations. Google did not, of course, specify how many Stadia Founder’s Edition packs were made available at each locale.
