The dark theme of Android 10 is a useful way to transform most apps from a blinding white to a darker gray on your computer. It lacks any characteristics beyond that, though. Now, one app allows you to change your wallpaper based on the dark theme of Android 10.
“Automatic Dark Theme for Android 10” is an app that we addressed on9to5Google before because of its convenient capacity to schedule the system-wide toggle. In the recent update of the app, its function list is further expanded. One of those characteristics is to link the transition from light to dark and vice versa to sunset and sunrise time. Even better, depending on the ambient lighting around the device, the app can also alter the theme.
While the Android 10 dark theme is good to schedule and automate, this does not impact your wallpaper. Any app and notification can be blacked out, but it can still be blinding at night to return to the home screen. Fortunately, this app solves the issue now.
“Automatic Dark Theme” can also change the wallpaper on your computer depending on the dark theme of Android 10 with its recent update. You can select a wallpaper in the settings of the app to be linked to the light theme and another to be linked to the dark theme, and the app will create the change automatically when the theme changes. This choice can alter the wallpaper on the home screen or lockscreen as well.
Of course, to get this app up and running, you will still need to go through the installation phase. To operate, it needs ADB, so you need a neighboring PC to get everything to work correctly. For a while now, I’ve been using the app personally and, honestly speaking, I can say that setting up is worth the additional job.
“Automatic dark theme for Android 10” on the Play Store is free of charge.
