The first unboxing video appeared before Stadia Founder’s Edition arrived for early pre-orderers on Tuesday. JeuxVideo.com, the French YouTube channel, posted a quick video of the kit selling out and its content.
At Made by Google 2019 last month, Google announced the launch of the Premiere Edition packaging. Founder’s has the silver ‘S’ beacon and “Stadia” logo with Google’ G’ below instead of a Stadia Controller photo. This could just be the box for testers, but this makes the presentation really tidy and premium.
Upon sliding the cover off, the limited edition Night Blue Controller is in the front and back. It sits in a molded tray with the whole box as a good solution for storage. Next is a white USB-A to USB-C cable and power adapter, while inside is the Chromecast Ultra with Ethernet integrated and power plug.
Unboxing is a “Get Started” booklet in this Stadia Founder’s Edition and thank you note from the Stadia team.
Compared to Premiere, one explanation for a simpler box might be how the latter might one day be sold in physical stores. The current edition available for purchase from the Google Store looks like all other first-party retail packaging and features the retail barcodes and details that are required very clearly.
Google yesterday explained the Stadia Controller in full detail and how it operates, while the AMA went through the setup process on Wednesday. Wireless compatibility allows you to use the Chromecast Ultra included in the box while the audio from Bluetooth will be updated after the release.
