Well, the Google Home app is home to a wide range of settings and menus to monitor smart displays, microphones, Wi-Fi routers, and more. Google is now redesigning the menu “Home Settings” with better layout and the theme of the content.
Accessible from the top two rows of shortcuts, “Home Settings” begins with “General” where the nickname and address are combined under “Home Information,” while the “Home Members” list is now called “Household.”
The first big change sees the list of rooms, groups, and devices become a full “Room and Devices” menu — rather than further down the page.
“Features” links to “Notifications” and “Digital Wellbeing,” while the “Services” menu has been tweaked and the addition of Material Theme icons for each line item especially benefits. This includes: Video , Music, Radio, Live TV — which went live in the last Home update, voice and video calls, shopping list, and a new “Works with Google.” All of these things are connected to existing settings found in the preferences of the Google app.
Finally, at the bottom, there is a shortcut on “Delete this home.” Overall, this is a more eye-catching and better-prioritized list of what people need to get to.
Google is rolling out version 2.22.1.11 of the redesigned Home settings page. It’s not yet widely rolled out on the Play Store, but is now available via APK Mirror.
