Google ‘s Pixel series has been on Verizon Wireless since day one, and planned to do the same with the upcoming Pixel 4a. Recently, however, the device has been delayed and will probably not be released until at least July, but a Verizon change log refers to the Pixel 4a as it is on the market already.
Droid-Life spotted a changelog for Google ‘s Pixel 3 XL on Verizon Wireless, detailing new features that came as part of the June drop feature. Car Crash Detection, one of those features, has also expanded to include more devices like the Google Pixel 3. However, Verizon name-dropped the Pixel 4a in that list.
The Pixel 4a has obviously not been released yet. The phone is scheduled to launch in July, according to latest rumours. However, Verizon ‘s explicit mention certainly suggests the phone should have been available at this point. That makes sense, of course, because it was initially supposed to arrive at Google I / O in mid-May, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event was canceled.
Alas, there’s still no Pixel 4a available, regardless of what Verizon says.
