During a short Instagram teaser, the highly awaited OnePlus Nord flirted briefly with the camera, and thus gave us a proper look at the upcoming design.
As the launch of the affordable smartphone nears, teasers are ramping up for the OnePlus Nord. While we already know a lot about the handset, the design has been kept under wraps up to now.
A brief 1-minute 30-second video over on the official OnePlus Nord Instagram account shows the outer shell in a model ‘s hands. You can see the entire video below, but it’s a really brief couple of seconds in which we can see just what the design entails.
The guys over at Android Authority, however, were able to get a sneak peek ahead of time, with a much clearer look at the mid-ranger (read: non-portrait mode video). It bears some similarity to the very early renders that @OnLeaks showed at the end of 2019, but it is obvious that some minor tweaks have been made.
The actual video is the same old, pretentious hogwash you’ll hear in the lead-up to a new release from just about every smartphone OEM. Obviously, the things that really matter to you are probably the OnePlus Nord design and the internals. If you’re wondering exactly when the app should show up, check the Instragram video 1-minute mark below:
It’s fuzzy but we can glean a few things, the color appears to be a gray-blue mix with camera moving — as expected — to the rear panel’s top left. It is hard to believe that the OnePlus Nord rear panel does share some similarities with the Realme X50 Pro 5G design.
We also get to see very, very briefly the dual punch-hole — basically the theme of this whole post — which is at the upper left of the display. The popular alert slider also returns but there’s not much else you can really make out. Without the annoyance of portrait video below you can look closer:
