The OnePlus Nord may be an inexpensive smartphone but on features it doesn’t skimp either. It was confirmed today that OnePlus Nord has a wide-angle selfie camera. You know, selfie stick to avoid death.
OnePlus shows in a brief video on Instagram that as a result of selfie sticks almost 3,000 people are killed every year — even if that’s grossly exaggerated. Still, OnePlus saw that with Nord as something to resolve.
The company says OnePlus Nord provides a 105-degree ultra-wide – angle lens on its secondary front-facing camera, allowing more fit only at arm’s length into the frame. OnePlus is not the first to adopt this, as both Google’s Pixel 3 and 3 XL provided the same functionality, but with a wider field of view of 107 degree in general.
We know that the dual-selfie camera array on the OnePlus Nord consists of a 32MP sensor and an 8MP sensor, thanks to a previous leak. These are presumably the standard and ultra-wide sensors, respectively.
