It was no secret that Xiaomi had been working on an Android TV dongle for some time, but the company finally revealed it officially today. The Xiaomi Mi TV Stick has officially announced debut with Android TV, but for now it’s just the 1080p model.
In contrast to a slew of other announcements today, Xiaomi has officially revealed its Mi TV Stick streaming dongle with specifications and a price to match.
The revealed today’s 1080p version of the Xiaomi Mi TV Stick offers up a quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and also gains power over microUSB. The included remote Bluetooth talks with the dongle and also has shortcuts for Netflix , Amazon Prime Video, and Google Assistant. There is support for Dolby Audio and DTS, too.
The Xiaomi Mi TV Stick will cost €39.99, or an equivalent cost in other regions as was previously leak.
Here we have the catch. Xiaomi was silent about the 4K version of this product that we know would come in. Even, if the product is coming to the United States, there is no indication yet. Xiaomi couldn’t provide any details on that to the people at Engadget either. It is not completely clear, however, exactly where the product is going to launch now.
