Samsung is one of the few Android OEMs left on the high-end tablet market, and has not gone unnoticed in its efforts. The Galaxy Tab S6 was in many respects a very good device, and now it is getting a pair of successors in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 series. Here ‘s exactly what you need to know.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 series is available in two versions, one at 11-inch and one at 12.4-inch. All tablets include the Snapdragon 865+ high-end chipset, 5G connectivity, and a keyboard / trackpad cover support that can be used for the DeX experience.
You ‘re not really having an update from last year’s model with the base model Tab S7 though. The smaller Tab S7 has a display of 11 inches 2560 at 120Hz, but oddly it has an LCD panel as opposed to the normal AMOLED of Samsung. Whereas, the Tab S7+ carries a 12.4-inch AMOLED display that is sure to be gorgeous.
Luckily, that’s the only major difference between the two. All offer a refresh rate of 120Hz, RAM up to 8GB, storage up to 256GB, and quadspeakers too. There is also an ultra-wide rear camera setup of 13MP/5MP and a front-facing 8MP camera for all the Zoom calls.
The S Pen is also used but it is not the keyboard and the “Book Cover.” These accessories are key to improving this tablet’s DeX experience, which can launch as soon as you connect the keyboard.
Rounding it out, there’s Android 10 under the hood with One UI and a few big batteries. The Tab S7 has an 8,000 mAh battery, while the S7+ has a power pack of 10,090 mAh, and both support USB-C charging of up to 45W. The Tab S7+ display also has a fingerprint sensor while the smaller model positions it on the side-rail.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 will cost $649, and will cost $849 for the Tab S7+. Once they release on 21 August, both versions will be available in Mystic Black, Mystic Silver and Mystic Bronze.
