A new One UI 3.0 (Android 11) beta update with a bunch of bug fixes was received earlier this week on Samsung Galaxy S20 series phones. Samsung has now started pushing another new One UI 3.0 update to three of its best Android phones, as per SamMobile. Although no new features are added to the latest One UI 3.0 beta, it includes the Android security patch for December 2020.
The update comes as a G98xxXXU5ZTKA version and is currently being rolled out in the UK to Galaxy S20 users. Although Samsung has been releasing the latest monthly security patches for almost a year now before other Android OEMs, this is the first time a new security patch has been rolled out two weeks in advance.
The latest beta also brings various bug fixes and camera performance improvements to the three phones, aside from the December 2020 Android security patch. Although the update is currently limited to only one market, we expect it to expand within the next few days to the U.S., Germany, India, South Korea and China.
The One UI 3.0 beta program will extend to the Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and Galaxy Z Fold 2 soon, as announced by Samsung earlier this week. In South Korea, the first One UI 3.0 beta for the Galaxy Note 10 series has already been released and is expected to expand very soon to other markets.
