Almost every spec of the Oppo Find X3 Pro (which is apparently codenamed ‘Fussi’), including some unexpected and innovative features, has been revealed by Evan Blass (a leaker with an excellent track record).
Apparently, a pair of new 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensors will be on the rear, one for the primary shooter and the other for the ultra-wide, along with a 13 MP snapper capable of 2x optical zoom and a 3 MP macro camera with lights that circle around its lens, enabling it to function “as a de facto microscope”.
Also the other interesting trait is something that is not typically very exciting – NFC. This is used for contactless payments, but it apparently uses a dual-body antenna design” on the Oppo Find X3 Pro that allows tap-to-pay with the reader facing either the screen or the back of the phone, where most phones only work in one orientation.
A 6.7-inch QHD+ (3216 x 1440 pixels) resolution display that uses an AMOLED panel is rumoured to feature the Oppo Find X3 Pro. The phone is expected to have 120Hz refresh rate support, HDR10+ certification, and full-path color management system support.
With the phone curved around the edges, the phone is supposed to have a ceramic or matte-frosted glass finish on the back. The leak suggests that the phone will be initially sold in black and blue colors and will be released at a later date with a white color version. It is rumored that the Find X3 Pro is 8 millimetres thick and can weigh about 190 grams.
With support for 65W wired charging and 30W wireless charging, the battery is said to be 4,500mAh, and the phone apparently runs Android 11 overlaid with Color OS 11 from Oppo. Blass also reiterates that the Snapdragon 888 chipset will be used by the Oppo Find X3 Pro, something the firm has basically already verified.
In terms of launch, it seems that the Oppo Find X3 range will be released sometime in the first quarter of 2021, and will go on sale early in the second quarter. That’s likely to bring the range up against the Samsung Galaxy S21 range, but if this leak is accurate at least the Pro model should have specs to match the best of Samsung.
