The very first leaks image of the Huawei P50 Pro has just been shared, allowing us to take a look at its design. This image is from @OnLeaks, and it’s not a real-life image, but a render. The Huawei P50 Pro render image below was posted by Steve Hemmerstoffer, best known as OnLeaks. For 2021release, the phone is supposed to be the main flagship of Huawei, at least before new Mate devices show up. The P50 Pro looks very similar to the P40 series of 2020, although Huawei seems to have given up in favor of a single hole-punch front-facing camera on the dual selfie cameras.
The information they are sharing about this upcoming Chinese flagship P50 at the moment are limited, but I can already tell you that it comes with a massive 6.6-inch display that fits into a frame that is about 159 mm high and 73 mm wide.
The P50 Pro has a display mirroring previous generations, which again features very drastic side curves and slim bezels. Where the selfie camera differs from its predecessor, Huawei seems to have chosen to ignore the dual front camera setup in favor of a more discreet single punch hole camera.
No images of the rear side are available, and the exact technical details are unknown. Huawei was largely cut off from producing the Kirin chipsets used by its previous flagship phones, so it is not clear what hardware would be used by the P50 series. Recently, the Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro were announced and both use Kirin chips, so maybe Huawei still has enough of them stockpiled for the P50 Pro.
