Now, in the USA, Sony has finally released the Xperia Pro 5G with top specs. The $2,500 Sony Xperia Pro phone is not intended to compete with the iPhone 12 Pro Max or the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Its HDMI port turns it into a number of other devices for photographers, videographers and live broadcasters from a phone.
Sony Xperia Pro major specs: Snapdragon 865 5G chip, 12GB of RAM and 512GB of expandable storage, we see two big spec upgrades. But, including the 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED panel, the triple 12MP rear camera combo, the 8MP selfie camera, and the 4,000mAh battery.

Work with your DSLR camera
For photographers, video shooters and content creators, the Xperia Pro’s 6.5-inch 4K display and 5G connectivity make it a perfect companion.
Both Sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G are supported by the phone, and Sony claims it has a unique four-way mmWave antenna array to maximize reception. A built-in network visualizer app is also available that can be assigned to its shortcut key to help you find the best location to get a signal.
The Xperia Pro transfers up to 4K 60fps 10bit HDR (QFHD) footage over HDMI, while its 5G capabilities allow it to stream live camera footage at 720p resolution to YouTube. Data-wise, with mmWave 5G, the Pro can upload a maximum of 131Mbps / 115Mbps average, or a maximum of 37Mbps / 30Mbps. There is also a Network Visualizer app on the phone that shows a bandwidth histogram over footage, while also allowing picture-in-picture to navigate while displaying camera footage around the operating system.
The 5G connectivity of the Xperia Pro allows it, in addition to being an external monitor, to serve as a live streaming connection for your camera. The Xperia Pro can directly stream footage to YouTube from its HDMI input, and it supports StreamLabs and StreamYard to stream to other platforms such as Twitch and Facebook Live.
