It is rumored that the Samsung Galaxy A72 has both 4G and 5G versions, and some specs have already been released regarding the latter. A few renders indicating the design of the Samsung Galaxy A72 5G have also recently been leaked online. The latest leak fully details the handset, and states that only 4G is supported. We are now looking at the Galaxy A72 4G that appeared on WinFuture.de in official renders with full specs leaked. This includes a slightly bigger device, the Galaxy A72, in addition to the successor to the best-selling model in the form of the Galaxy A52.
Initially, the Samsung Galaxy A72 appeared only in a pure 4G version, so the 5G-capable version is not used. Samsung offers the Galaxy A72, a decent mid-range smartphone that adopts many of the Galaxy S series’ design elements, but costs significantly less, at price of EUR 449.

The Galaxy A72 has a 2400×1080 pixel, 6.7-inch SuperAMOLED display that is held in 20: 9 format and has an optional increased refresh rate of up to 90 Hz, according to other reports. Directly under the display surface sits the fingerprint reader. In the center of the top edge, the panel has a small hole, behind which Samsung accommodates the 32 megapixel front camera.
Furthermore, on the back, there are four cameras which can be found in a newly designed module. The Galaxy A72’s main sensor has a resolution of 64 megapixels and, by means of pixel binning, is expected to provide increased sharpness and more detail.
There is also an 8-megapixel camera with a magnification of nearly twice as much as a 12-megapixel camera for ultra-wide-angle photos and a 2-megapixel sensor for macro images. As for this camera information, it can be said that it contradicts what was previously heard from other sources and can therefore not be considered secure.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G Octa core SoC, which is firmly established in the middle class with clock rates of up to 2.3 gigahertz, provides the technical basis in this case. It has six or even eight gigabytes of RAM available, depending on the model. The internal flash memory can be extended using a memory card and is 128 or 256 GB in size.
The A72 also has a 5000mAh battery built-in that can be easily charged using the USB Type-C port. Despite the integration of a headphone connection and a microSD card slot, the housing of the device is made of plastic and should be certified as IP67 waterproof. The Galaxy A72 runs on Android 11, while Samsung’s own interface is once again used, of course.
