One of the Pixelbook Go is most interesting design aspects is in fact its “Not Pink” color variant to complement “Just Black.” The bold color choice is now available in “limited quantities” from the Google Store.
As is usual for Google Made and their luxury Chromebooks, top-of-line configurations typically launch later than the more affordable, standard models. The $1,399 Core i7 with 16 GB RAM, 256 GB storage and 4K display was not available until mid-December this year.
Another tiered start to this cycle is the Not Pink Pixelbook Go, which is obviously in the 2018 Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL style A nearly beige color bathes the first mid-range Pixelbook from Google. This includes both the deck cover and top keyboard, as well as the edges.
A darker shade is used in the top-left corner for Google’s’ G’ logo, whereas the same color applies to the Hush Keys. The 13.3-inch 1080p or 4K screen is, thankfully, surrounded by a black frame. The real color pop though is the underside with its bright pink textured bottom that helps to grip.
Not Pink is not available with 8 GB RAM and 64 GB Storage for the Core m3. Buyers must get an 8 GB or 16 GB RAM Core i5 or a Core i7. Pricing begins at $849, and in an email to customers Google notes that the Not Pink Pixlebook Go is available in “limited quantities,” but that warning is not stated anywhere on the actual Google Store page.
Expedited shipping will deliver the device to some buyers today by tomorrow. Many configurations are available right now on Amazon, too.
In our review we commended “outstanding hardware” and complimentary features from the Pixelbook Go. That said, especially given the competition this Chromebook is on the pricey side.
