Samsung second foldable smartphone the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, was said to always remain below the price point of the Samsung Galaxy Fold. Nonetheless, the price might seem much higher than expected, barely undercutting a similar foldable.
The price point of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip would land at about $1,400, according to Max Weinbach. That’s more than $500 cheaper than the regular Galaxy Galaxy Fold, and $100 more than Razr from Motorola. That $1,400 price point, however, is much higher than earlier rumors that pinned down a price under $1,000.
Both the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Razr share the same basic form factor, but under the hood they couldn’t be different.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will rival several 2019 flagships where the Motorola Razr is closer to a mid-range smartphone on the spec sheet. The device is expected to include, as previously reported, a Snapdragon 855 + processor, an overclocked variant of the chip used in the Samsung Galaxy Fold and most other 2019 Android flagship phones. The specs of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip beyond that are not entirely known at this time, but that’s already a huge boost over Moto’s offer.
Another report leaks the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip colors beyond price and specifications. SamMobile says the Galaxy Z Flip is in Gold, Black Purple and Silver. The silver version will obviously also have some kind of “football-like pattern” on it.

Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip will likely launch on February 14th. It retails at $1400. It's possible it is an AT&T exclusive again, but this time it might be a timed exclusive. It will also be available unlocked.
